Bath & Body Haul and a Quick Hello

Hey Friends!

So I thought I'd post since I did some damage at Bath and Body Works, Best Buy and Target. I didn't take a picture of what I bought at target but it was just a couple of nail polish colors, a storage container for my make up and a couple of Maybelline lip balms. They are pretty awesome! At B&BW I am OBSESSED with the scent London Calling, possibly stemming from my from undying love of London, or England in general. It's a wonderful lemony/tea scent. The only thing they had left in stock were the Wallflower bulbs so I picked up four of those. I also picked one up in the Paris Daydream scent. My husband and I are planning a lengthy trip to London/Paris in 2014 so I figured these scents would tide me over until it's time. The trip is still in it's early stages as we're trying to figure out finances and things because it's not cheap to go to London or Paris and certainly not both. So we're saving up this year to be able to afford a nice vacation there. I've only seen a very very small part of London and I'd like the chance to see more but I instantly fell in love. It's my favorite city in all of the world. Wow sorry for getting side tracked. I love talking about England. We went this past year and I wish we could move there, but my British husband has said absolutely not. He wants to stay here. Back to Bath and Body Works....I also picked up a soap for the bathroom in Passion Fruit and some travel sized Paris Amour body wash and lotions and sprays because I need some good bathroom products for the trip to Disney in Just under two months. If you've been keeping up with me I'm running in the Disney Princess 1/2 Marathon 2013 so it's just around the corner so I figure I should start picking up some travel stuff now while it's on deep sale. I also got a CUTE as a button Eiffel Tower pocket back hand sanitizer holder. Then at Best Buy I had a $5 coupon and I needed (well wanted) a speaker for my iPhone so I can listen to it while I clean downstairs since it's not terribly loud and I found the absolute cutest Mickey Mouse iHome speaker. I also found a Cinderella iPhone case for only $5. I ended up only paying $21 for both! It was fantastic.

In other news I was finally able to see Les Miserables. I ended up going by myself this past Friday because on Christmas I wasn't in any shape to drive and Wed/Thursday we got a snowstorm where I was and I was snowed in so that kinda put a damper on that. Friday though the roads were clear and my husband was working so I decided to treat myself. If you are a musical theater fan or even just appreciate a good movie then I urge you to see this movie, and while I might be bias because it's one of my favorites, it was a FANTASTIC movie. The casting was brilliant! I was a little weary of Russell Crow being Javert and while I still don't think he was the strongest choice I don't think it detracted from the movie at all.  Anne Hathaway was great! I know a lot of people didn't like her as Fantine but I thought she was brilliant. I also LOVED the Amanda Seyfried/Eddie Redmaye combo for Cossette and Marius. Stunning actually. Samantha Barks blew me away as Eponine but if you've seen the 25th Anniversary edition from the O2 you already know this! She is amazing and I hope to see her live on Stage someday. There was even a surprise cameo from one of my favorite West End Men! (No Not Ramin) I won't spoil it for all you theater buffs, but it's great! Overall though I do give the movie an A+. It's not often that I cry during a movie.....and certainly not more than once. This movie moved me to tears! So go see it!

Lastly I will be doing my New Years Resolutions blog either tomorrow or Tuesday! So stay tuned for that!

If I don't update it tomorrow, Everyone have a happy and safe New Year. PSA: If you are going to drink PLEASE designate a driver or call AAA as they are having a NYE service to get you and your car home safely. You don't even have to be a member. So please if you drink, do so responsibly and get home safely!

Blizzard Not So Fun!

Hi Guys!

The wind is whipping and the snow's a swirling. It's pretty gross outside right now. It started to really come down right around rush hour so the ride home today was not all that nice. I was also going to take myself to see Les Miserables but the weather kinda put a damper on that too since I didn't want to drive to the movie theater in this weather. I figure the movie can wait until tomorrow night. I ended up starting a new project tonight because of the snow. I am moving my home office to a place where it will be better suited in my house. I promise I will take before and after shots, but right now I just have my desk set up in my living room and it's not set up where I can organize and really concentrate because it's not very private. So I'm working on moving it to a nook we have on our second floor and just making a cozy little home there. It's not going to reach it's full potential until we are in a bigger house and I have a full space to myself. We're going to start browsing for a home probably later this summer when we have a little bit of time and some more money for the down payment behind us. I plan on setting up a little area to start my project filming like the Birch Box open box reviews and the whats in my purse video's and the organizing/packing videos I plan to start filming. I am hoping to have this project completed by the end of the weekend. Also by the end of the weekend I'm going to put my resolutions blog up and start really learning iMovie. So that's the fun for tonight. Sorry it's not MORE Fun! Tomorrow **HOPEFULLY** I'll be able to provide a review of the movie! So with that, Good Night everyone. Maybe where you are the weather is better!
Snowy, Snowy Night!

Christmas Shopping and a Surprise Christmas Visit from the Parents

Hiii Friends!

Today's update includes a Christmas shopping mini haul and mouthwatering food photo! So my husband and I went to the mall today so I could finish up my shopping. He set me loose while he ran to best buy to look at movies, so I was able to pick up some fun things for him. I'll post on Christmas Night! I can't go into it because he does read my blogs but I got him some super fun things! I mayyyy have stopped at Sephora for one little thing of my own and It was a pretty successful trip! I became a V.I.B. at Sephora...Ugh that means I spend too much money there! So i got a cute little mirror and some coupons and a Silver Status VIB card. I also had just under 500 points on my current Beauty Insider card so I was able to pick up a free sample Kit of Amazing Grace by Philosophy which will be GREAT for travel. I actually bought an Amazing Grace kit as well it came in a cute little pouch which will be featured below. I bought the pouch because it had a really awesome body scrub in it and I need a good one for these long dry winter months. So all in all a good trip to the mall. I finished up my Christmas Shopping AND got some cool freebees.

Anddd last night my parents surprised me and came to visit for a few hours! They wanted to see us before Christmas and since we'll be spending Christmas here at home (they live 3 hours away) they wanted to make sure to see us before. So we exchanged gifts. I got my dad an AWESOME football mouse for his computer and I got my mom a Vera Bradley bag! They got me a Mickey and Minnie watch which is SOOO cute. You'll see it in my haul video which I'll be posting sometime this week over on my YouTube Channel. Anyways, it was a very nice mini Christmas with them. We went to a new steakhouse in town. It's a chain but it's new to Buffalo. Longhorn Steakhouse. It was BRILLIANT. The food was so good. We shared the Lobster/Shrimp Dip and it was different than expected but very good. I got a Bacon stuffed Filet and it was the most perfect steak! My Husband, Ben got a Sirloin with a Fried Egg on the top. His was good too, he let me try a taste! It was soooo yummy! They have an amazing white peach sangria too! Yum! I think we may have found a great middle of the road steakhouse to frequent. There is an amazing Steakhouse downtown but it's very pricey, like a $200 bill so we only go once a year or so if we have tickets to a show at Shea's or something. So it was pretty amazing and I'm so happy they came yesterday! It meant a lot to me because we wouldn't be able to see them until the middle of January.

Tomorrow is going to be almost stressfully (I know it's not a word) busy. I have to run out by myself to get some stocking presents for Ben, then he is going to be making mince pies and I'm going to be making chocolate chip cookies. We're combing my American traditions and his British traditions into our first married holiday this year. (If you didn't know already my husband is Welsh/British. He was born in Wales and grew up in England) It's going to be a pretty awesome first Christmas, we have plans to have a just the two of us party on Christmas eve, we have some special food we're going to make and we're going to exchange one present each and spend time w/ our dog Nala! Then on Christmas we are just going to do presents in the morning and have a big breakfast and some snacks throughout the day and for dinner we're making a ham and trying a new scallop potato recipe and green bean casserole. YUM!

I am still working on stuff for my YouTube channel. I will be doing Birch Box open box's and reviews. I also am going to be doing some weekly Vlogs, product reviews and maybe some packing videos. I will also be setting up a 2nd channel for my Disney Parade/Shows/Fireworks Videos and Concert Footage, or things like that. I promise I will put more time into that soon, but I do have a full time job so I only really have nights and weekends to dedicate to my work on Just Danielle and I did just get married so my husband I are still settling into married life but I PROMISE I will be dedicating some time to it soon! I am also working on my logo design and background designs for this blog. Gotta use that Graphic Design Degree for something!!

So with that, I guess it turned into a rather long blog haha, but have a VERY Merry Christmas if you celebrate or for those of you that don't Happy Holidays! I hope you enjoy this time with your families and with that here are some photos of this weekends shenanigans.

Pretty Light update today!

Hey Everyone!! I'm just checking in to see how you all have been! Over the past week I have been getting ready for the holidays and just taking it easy. I sliced my finger open earlier in the week so I've been just making sure that it starts to heal. I tried my first Yoga class last Monday and let me tell you, Yoga is tough! I think I will have to find a class that is a little less intense because this was meant to be a beginner class but it was really geared for the novice level. They turned on the heat really high so it was almost like a Bikrim and for somebody who's never done yoga in a organized setting before it was really tough on my body. I almost had to leave in the middle of class because with all the new movement and with all the heat it made me feel very very sick. I want to continue my Yoga practice so I will be in the process of finding a class that can meet my very beginner needs. I feel like it will really add that next level I need for my marathon training. I did my first outdoor run today and I do need some work so I'm going to amp up my training I think. My goal is not to be the best or the fastest. My goal is to get out there and finish the race with my head held high and get that finisher medal. I really want to make this a permanent staple in my life and I think with the right motivation I can. I've been trying to make better health choices as well, being more aware of what foods I put in my body. I'm not saying I'm perfect because I am FAR from that, I still drink WAY to much Diet Soda for my own good and sometimes I slip and eat crap, but I've cut out all trans fats from diet (Hydrogenated Oils), and I'm slowly cutting down on high fructose corn syrup. I'm drinking more water now that I ever have and I honestly WANT to be healthier. This will be a long journey but my goals now are to keep running and lose some weight in the process. I'd really love to be able to fit into Lululemon gear!

So anyways, That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by and listening to my ramblings! In the coming weeks I do plan on launching my YouTube Channel, JustDanielle85! So stay tuned for that and I will also be doing a post on here for my 2013 New Years Resolutions. I also will have a What's in my Bag post eventually and I plan on doing a packing video as well. For all the Disney and Music fans that follow me I also have plans in the works to launch a 2nd YouTube channel dedicated only to my Disney Parade/Show Videos and any concert footage that I have taken that is worth sharing. Everything else will be on my primary channel.

Thanks again everybody and I hope you have a great beginning of your week!

A Little Motivation for You All!

Weekend Holiday Haul

Hello Everyone! I'm going to blog out my holiday haul from the weekend because I'm having some trouble figuring out iMovie to edit my video's. I will be working on that tomorrow evening if I have some time. For sure by the end of the week so you'll all get to see my first video! We started the weekend Friday by going to Office Max, Target and Barnes and Noble. I picked up some soy candles and some Godiva and Lindt chocolates. I also picked up a book Blog Inc. by Joy Deangdeelert Cho. It's a pretty easy read thus far and I'm really enjoying it. I hope to be able to apply some of the things I learn to this blog! I also bought a cute little pouch by Jonathan Adler for Barnes and Noble. It's really cute and I think it'll work well for my upcoming trip to Disney in two months. At Office Max I picked up a new day planner because the one I have was really getting warped so I figure I should just return to my trusty leather bound ones that last. I really like it. I'm working on getting everything all transferred over. It's probably going to have to take some time next weekend to work on it. I feel better when I am organized. Saturday was a really busy day. I went to Pilates in the morning after a quick visit to Lululemon to get the Vinyasa scarf I've been lusting after for the last few weeks. It's pink and white. I love it! I also love that it is big enough to be used as a blanket on airplanes because I always get so cold. My husband and I then went to the Niagara Falls Fashion Outlets where I was able to get a Kate Spade make up pouch for just $15 dollars. SUCH a steal! I was also able to go into the Coach store after a 20 minute wait in line outside because they were so packed. I scored a $398 dollar purse for just $95 dollars. I was floored. There was no way I couldn't pick it up. After fighting the massive crowds we headed out to the Walden Galleria because I really just needed to stop at Lush to pick up a product I ran out of. Ocean Salt is absolutely my FAVORITE product for my face. It cleans it out really well and still leaves it feeling fresh and clean! I also grabbed a bubble bar in KARMA because it smelled SO good! I checked out Hallmark too and ended up just picking up some post it notes. So that was my Holiday Haul! I am really trying to work on the video's but as I said I'm having some trouble with iMovie, so I plan on working on that this week and into the weekend. I will hopefully have 2-3 videos posted by the end of the weekend!  Until then here are some photos of the weekend! Hope you all have a wonderful night! <3

Les Miserables and a Quick Hello

I don't have too much to share with you all tonight! Sorry! I will have more this weekend. I'll have a couple of hauls, mainly from Lush, Barnes and Noble and the mall. I am also going to try to upload my first video onto my YouTube channel. I'm going to possibly film my hauls and a "What's in my Bag" video. I also will be editing a few videos that I already have from a couple of the Disney Parades from my trip last month that I'll be adding to my channel for your viewing pleasure. Maybe I'll make a 2nd channel for Disney and/or Concert Videos. Hmmm that's an Idea. I have a lot of ideas for this blog and my vlogs. I'm hoping to get them of the ground this weekend. I have a few other projects to tackle. I promise though I will have something within the upcoming weeks.

Anyways. I'm subscribed to a few different theater channels on Facebook. They have all been showing clips of the upcoming movie Les Miserables. After the clip I saw tonight of Samantha Barks singing On My Own, I must say I am uber excited to see this movie. So much so that I am dragging my dear husband to the movies on Christmas Day to see it. Now before you all say poor husband, he also loves Les Miserables, he just didn't want to have to get dressed on Christmas. Okay so maybe we'll save it until the weekend after. Anyways I'm a fairly new Les Miserables fan. I was only turned onto it when he forced me to watch it in 2011 for the 25th Anniversary edition at the O2. I didn't think it was my type of production. I was into things like Rent and the Phantom of the Opera. However it opened my eyes to a wonderful world of West End stars and now it is one of my all time favorite musicals. Subsequently it created a spur of the moment trip to Manchester England last May to see Ramin Karimloo in concert. He played Enroljas in that version. The concert was amazing and so was the trip in general. We also got the chance to see the West End Production of Phantom of the Opera.  I only wish Ramin had a part in the movie, however I think the cast is amazing. I love the idea of the live singing and choosing strong actors who all have backgrounds in the music world. I am just really excited about it!

Sound off...Leave me a comment and let me know how you feel about the Les Miserables movie, or any musical you feel strongly about!

Hi Everyone and welcome to my new and improved blog! You might remember me from my previous Blog From Mouse Ears to Vera, however I am going to start from scratch because I feel like my previous blog was very limited to JUST Disney and Vera Bradley. This new blog Just Danielle is going to be a hybrid of my new style which will include beauty hauls, honest product reviews of things I am actually using, places I travel and of course there will still be Vera reviews (and other purses too!) This is also where I will show you some of my 1/2 marathon training too! A glimpse into my new life in hopefully an interesting way in which you can benefit from seeing my reviews and hauls. I hope you all enjoy it and I hope you keep reading!!! I will also be launching a YouTube channel and plan to Vlog as well. Thank you for being patient while I remodel and I hope you like the new and improved format!
